Our Story
A Legacy That Grows Across Borders
Our story begins in the sunlit mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia—home to the San Roque farm, a 20-acre haven where coffee plants grow among advocado trees and wild birdsong. It was here that Juan B., a father, a farmer, and a humble force of nature, spent his final years doing what he loved most: caring for the land and producing exceptional coffee.
Building a Legacy
Juan B. didn't just grow coffee. He built a legacy rooted in hard work, integrity, and joy—a legacy passed to his daughter and son-in-law, who left Colombia in 2022 seeking new opportunities in Nova Scotia.
Continuing the Tradition
When Juan B. passed away unexpectedly in 2024, we were heartbroken—and far away. But giving up the farm was never an option. With the help of a trusted partner back home, we've kept San Roque alive and thriving. The coffee it produces remains the best we've ever tasted: grown at altitude, under shade, in harmony with the mountain.
From Minca to Little Dover
Today, we roast our coffee in Colombia and hand-carry it to Little Dover, Nova Scotia, where we now live. Every bag we sell supports our farm, honors Juan B.'s memory, and helps us put down roots in the community that welcomed us with open arms.
What You Taste Is Who We Are
This is not just coffee—it's our family history in every cup. It's a way to stay connected to Colombia while growing new dreams in Canada. It's Juan B.'s laugh, the smell of roasted beans, and the sunrise over two lands we call home.
